What is the Attire?

The wedding is Black Tie. Men are requested to wear a tuxedo but can opt for a dark suit. Women can choose a formal evening gown, a shorter cocktail dress, or dressy separates.

Are kids welcome?

While we adore all of our friends and family's little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event to ensure everyone can fully unwind and enjoy the celebration. Thank you for understanding.

What is the weather like in October?

October in the mountains can bring every season in one day. On average, the temperature can reach the high 60s and drop as low as the mid-40s, so layering will be key! We'd advise you to check the weather the week before and even the morning of to ensure you're comfortable.

Where are the events taking place?

Will transportation be provided?

Transportation for the wedding will be provided. Please refer to the transportation tab for details on the time and location.

What time should I arrive at your wedding?

Please try to arrive at the BRCC "Clubhouse" parking lot no later than 3:30 p.m. to allow time to ride the shuttle down to the Lakehouse. This will ensure you can relax and find a seat before the ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is parking at the clubhouse. Please park at the clubhouse and ride the shuttle to the Lakehouse, as it does not have adequate parking.

How do I get to Blowing Rock Country Club?

For directions, please use 200 Country Club Drive, Blowing Rock, NC 28605.

Is there an Uber/Lyft in the area?

Uber and Lyft operate in the area, but they are not very reliable, given the remote location. If you want to take an Uber or Lyft, we recommend trying to book one ahead or leaving enough time to find one.

Am I allowed to take photos or video at the wedding?

We love that our friends and family want to capture memories from our special day! We will have an unplugged ceremony, meaning we kindly request that no photos or videos be taken at any time during the ceremony. After the ceremony has ended, please feel free to take any photos and videos you like.
